Bus routes on these roads connect to the Red Line at Wheaton and Silver Spring.
The Kemp Mill Shopping Center on Arcola Avenue covers everyday errands, and Kemp Mill Urban Park sits next to it. For a wider choice of supermarkets, restaurants and services, most trips go west to Wheaton, where the regional mall and the Georgia Avenue retail blocks are a short drive away. Wheaton Regional Park, just outside the western edge, adds trails, gardens and an ice arena.
