Crystal City, now part of the area branded National Landing, is the high-rise district along Route 1 in southern Arlington, next to Reagan National Airport. Once dominated by offices and an underground shopping concourse, it has been redeveloping with new residences, restaurants, and public spaces, alongside Amazon’s second headquarters in neighboring Pentagon City.
Housing is almost entirely mid- and high-rise condominiums and apartments, including older buildings from the 1970s and 1980s with larger floor plans and newer buildings with contemporary finishes and amenities.
The Crystal City Water Park, Long Bridge Park, and the Mount Vernon Trail provide open space, and new restaurants and shops continue to open along Crystal Drive and 23rd Street. Reagan National Airport is minutes away.
Crystal City Metro on the Blue and Yellow Lines, the nearby Potomac Yard station, VRE commuter rail, and the Route 1 corridor connect to DC, Alexandria, and the rest of Arlington.
Crystal City offers high-rise condo living near the airport, the river trails, and a major new employment center.
