Adams Morgan is a Northwest DC neighborhood centered on the crossroads of 18th Street and Columbia Road, north of Dupont Circle and west of Meridian Hill Park. Its commercial strips host a dense concentration of restaurants, bars, and music venues, and the residential side streets are lined with rowhouses and apartment buildings.
The housing is mainly Victorian and early-1900s brick rowhouses, many converted into condominiums, plus a number of early-20th-century apartment buildings, some organized as co-ops, and a layer of newer infill condos. Architecture is varied, with colorful facades, bay windows, and turrets.
Daily life revolves around 18th Street and Columbia Road, with restaurants spanning many cuisines, cafes, shops, and a weekend farmers market. Meridian Hill Park and Kalorama Park provide green space, and Rock Creek Park is a short walk west across the Calvert Street bridge.
Woodley Park–Zoo/Adams Morgan station on the Red Line is across the Duke Ellington Bridge, and Columbia Heights and Dupont Circle stations are also within walking distance. Adams Morgan offers historic rowhouse and condo living in one of the city’s most active dining districts.
