Takoma Park knows how to throw a neighborhood celebration. Their community parade starts at 10:00 AM (we recommend grabbing a shaded viewing spot along Carroll or Maple Ave). But the real highlight is the evening block party starting at 6:00 PM, featuring food trucks, kids’ games, and live music from local favorites Oh He Dead and the Takoma Park Community Band.

The City of Fairfax goes absolutely all-out, hosting one of the largest Independence Day parades in all of Virginia.
